AlphaBuyer, LLC Seeks Pennsylvania Gas Broker License
Start-up AlphaBuyer, LLC applied for a Pennsylvania natural gas broker license to serve residential customers and commercial customers using less than 6,000 Mcf annually in all service areas.  Though an electric broker application from AlphaBuyer does not yet appear as docketed by the PUC Secretary, AlphaBuyer will likely seek such a license.  AlphaBuyer will broker customers through its website, and its principals include several former senior directors and managers at GSI Commerce (f/k/a Global Sports Inc), a firm that providers e-commerce and interactive marketing services to over 500 clients including the NFL and other sports leagues, several retail chains such as Ace Hardware, Toys R Us, and Belk, and brands such as Calvin Klein and Dockers.  AlphaBuyer is led by CEO Kevin Johnson, former CEO of Dryden Procurement Technologies, LLC, a procurement and spend management company.

Algonquin Energy Services Receives Ohio Electric License
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Algonquin Energy Services an electric supplier license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers at Dayton Power & Light (Only in Matters, 8/24/10).

Atlas Scinergy Receives Ohio Broker License
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Atlas Scinergy, Inc. an electric broker/aggregator license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers in all service areas.

Standard Power of America Receives Connecticut Aggregator License
The Connecticut DPUC granted Standard Power of America, Inc. an electric aggregator certificate to serve commercial, industrial, municipal and governmental customers (Only in Matters, 8/25/10).
