The District of Columbia PSC granted Reliant
Energy Northeast LLC an electric supplier license to serve commercial and industrial
customers. Reliant has pending applications to serve larger commercial and industrial
customers in Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania (Only in Matters, 8/9/10 & 9/9/10)
Separately, Reliant Energy Services Texas, LLC has filed at the PUCT for an amendment
to its REP certificate (#10177) to change its certificated name to Pennywise Power
LLC and add the trade name Pennywise Power to the certificate. The entity is distinct
from Reliant Energy Retail Services, LLC (REP certificate #10007) under which Reliant
conducts the majority of its mass market business. Elizabeth Killinger, who has
served as Vice President of Operations for Reliant, is listed as President of Pennywise
Power. Tony Marcella, who has served in various roles at Reliant, is listed as Manager,
Retail Operations for Pennywise Power.
