ComEd Reports Weighted POR Uncollectibles Factor
Commonwealth Edison has calculated the "weighted average uncollectibles factor" specific to the customer classes eligible for POR derived in a manner consistent with the method used at Ameren, and reported that the value is 1.8453%.  That compares to ComEd's system average uncollectible rate under Rider UF of 1.5203%, which reflects the better payment practices of larger customers ineligible for POR.  Using the 1.8453% uncollectibles factor, along with the administrative factor recommended by an ALJ (0.44%), the POR discount applicable to all classes eligible for POR at ComEd would be 2.2853%.


Dynegy Narrows Loss on Lower Impairment Charges
Dynegy Inc. reported a net loss of $24 million for the third quarter 2010, compared to a net loss of $212 million for the third quarter 2009.  The 2010 quarterly net loss included an asset impairment charge of $134 million, and $132 million of mark-to-market gains associated with forward power sales.  The 2009 quarterly loss was primarily driven by asset impairment charges of $383 million and mark-to-market losses of $128 million.  Adjusted EBITDA from Dynegy's power generation segments was $203 million for the third quarter 2010, compared to $420 million for the third quarter 2009


Acclaim Energy Advisors Opening Ohio, New Jersey Offices
Acclaim Energy Advisors is opening two new offices, one in Ohio and one in New Jersey, to support existing client needs and new and anticipated sales.  The expansion marks the broker's first push beyond its current corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.  "We are experiencing a considerable amount of growth in key segments and our commitment to serving our growing customer base was a key driver for our expansion," said John D.
