Hess Small Business Services Expanding to Upstate New York, Additional New Jersey Territories

Email This Story
November 10, 2010

Hess Small Business Services is expanding its electric and natural gas marketing to small commercial customers in upstate New York and New Jersey.

Since expanding into the small business market by acquiring the book of Stuyvesant Energy over a year ago, Hess has been serving small business customers in the New York metro area at Consolidated Edison and the KeySpan LDCs.  Prior to the acquisition, Hess had exclusively focused on large and mid-merit customers.

Hess has already expanded its small business offerings to gas customers at Orange & Rockland in New York, and gas customers at PSE&G in New Jersey.

Hess said that it plans to expand its small business energy services in 2011 to offer natural gas in all areas of New Jersey with small volume choice.  Additionally, Hess will expand both electric and gas marketing to small businesses at Central Hudson, Niagara Mohawk, Rochester Gas & Electric, and NYSEG.

Hess has launched a new, small-business focused website, offering pricing alerts and online enrollments.
