Direct Offering Residential Electric Service at PECO, Duke Energy Ohio

Direct Energy has launched residential electric offers at PECO and Duke Energy Ohio.

The PECO offers, which appear online but have not officially been launched yet, currently include a 12-month fixed product with no cancellation fees. The nature of the offerings may change prior to a final roll-out.

Currently, Direct's website lists the 12-month PECO fixed rate as 9.42¢/kWh. A discounted 12-month fixed rate of 9.22¢/kWh is available for military personnel and senior citizens.

Direct is also offering a 40-point Heating & Air Conditioning inspection free to the first 1,000 customers. The inspection is part of these customers' free membership to Direct's Comfort Club, which also guarantees that if the customer's HVAC system breaks down, Direct will provide a 20% discount on all repairs. In addition, club members will not have to wait for appointments and are automatically placed at the front of the service line. The services are offered by Direct affiliate Clockwork Home Services.

At Duke Energy Ohio, Direct will now offer residential customers both electric and natural gas service.

For residential electricity customers at Duke Energy Ohio, Direct is offering a 12-month fixed rate of 7.8¢/kWh with no early cancellation fee. Senior citizens and military personnel will receive a discounted fixed price 6.9¢/kWh.

For residential natural gas customers at Duke Energy Ohio, Direct is offering a 12-month, fixed price of 61.9¢/ccf with no early cancellation fee. Senior citizens and military personnel are eligible for a discounted fixed price of 59.9¢/ccf.
