Public Power, Energy Plus Holdings LLC Post Residential PECO Rates
Public Power LLC has started offering residential electric service at PECO, with a fixed rate of 9.799¢/kWh for 12 months.  The product includes an early termination fee of $75.  Additionally, Public Power customers receive $500 "savings dollars" upon enrollment, which are essentially rewards points that can be redeemed with a number of participating merchants through Public Power's customer appreciation program.  Public Power's offer on PA Power Switch is conducted through its marketing agent America Approved Energy Services Direct, LLC.  Separately, Energy Plus Holdings, LLC, which had been making limited offers to residential customers in select affinity groups at PECO, has started listing a market-wide offer for PECO residential customers on PA Power Switch, with a variable rate of 8.95¢/kWh.


Central Hudson Requests 30-Day Delay in Remote Account Number Access Plan
Central Hudson Gas & Electric has requested that the New York PSC grant an additional 30 days for the in-service date of Central Hudson's plan to provide customers with remote access to their utility account numbers (98-M-1343).  While attempting to place the completed remote access program into service, Central Hudson experienced a failure of the commercial software product that supports its Voice Response System (VRS), with which the remote access program must be integrated, Central Hudson reported.  In late August, Central Hudson had anticipated that the remote account number access solution would be in place by early December.  As previously reported, Central Hudson is not seeking cost recovery from ESCOs for the program implementation (9/1).


MichCon Withdraws Rate Case
Michigan Consolidated Gas Company has withdrawn its rate case filed with the Michigan PSC on July 27, 2010 (U-16400).  No parties other than MichCon had presented testimony or a position in the proceeding as of the filing of the petition to withdraw; direct testimony was to be due December 17.  MichCon said that it, "has continuously evaluated its case and has determined that the Company no longer desires to pursue in this docket the relief."


Infinite Energy Offering Free Gas Contest to Residential Customers
Infinite Energy said that it will provide a year's worth of free gas to randomly selected residential customers in Georgia, and (through the Intelligent Energy brand) New York and New Jersey.  Each brand will draw, once per month throughout 2011, one winner to receive free gas for a year or 12 billing cycles, whichever is less, but in no event will the value of the prize exceed $2,000 in total.


EnerNOC Purchases Global Energy Partners
EnerNOC, Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire California-based Global Energy Partners, which designs and implements utility energy efficiency and demand response programs.  Terms were not disclosed.


NextEra Energy Resources to Purchase Four First Solar Canadian Assets
NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, and First Solar, Inc. announced that they have entered into agreements for NextEra Energy Resources to purchase four solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling 40 megawatts (MW) in Ontario, Canada from First Solar, Inc.  Terms were not disclosed.  All of the power from the solar projects will be sold to the Ontario Power Authority under long-term contracts.
