Constellation Electric Offering Susan G. Komen Affinity Program in Maryland
Constellation
Electric (BGE Home Products & Services) is offering an affinity program with the
Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure which includes an initial $10,000
donation and additional donations if electric customer acquisition thresholds are
reached (the terms of which were not disclosed). It is the first affinity program
aimed at residential customers that Constellation has undertaken. The Komen Maryland
Affiliate will publicize Constellation's offers to its constituents through email
blasts, newsletters, and other channels.
Viridian Energy Named to NEM Executive Committee
Viridian Energy has been elected
to the National Energy Marketers Association Executive Committee, where it will be
represented by its founder and CEO Michael Fallquist. Viridian Energy serves approximately
125,000 customers in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Direct Energy Taps British Gas Vet to Lead Clockwork Home Services
Direct Energy has
named Scott Boose, recently Managing Director of Heating Services at affiliate British
Gas, as President of Clockwork Home Services. Boose replaces Jim Abrams, co-
Pulse Electric to Cease Operations
Retail electric provider Pulse Electric, Inc. filed
a notice of cessation of operations with the PUCT, stating that it is not serving
customers. Though no formal affiliate relationship exists, Pulse's principals are
primarily composed of the principals of Clearview Electric.
