FirstEnergy Solutions Offering Residential Service at Met-Ed, West Penn Power

FirstEnergy Solutions has begun offering retail electricity to individual residential customers at West Penn Power and Met-Ed, making FirstEnergy Solutions' the second residential supplier in each area, after Palmco Power.

At West Penn Power (Allegheny), FirstEnergy Solutions is offering a fixed rate of 6.34¢/kWh through December 2011.  West Penn Power's price to compare effective January 1, 2011 is 7.12¢/kWh.

At Met-Ed, FirstEnergy Solutions is offering a fixed rate of 8.18¢/kWh through December 2011.  Met-Ed's price to compare effective January 1, 2011 is 8.30¢/kWh.

Both products include an early termination fee of $75.

Previously, FirstEnergy Solutions had only been offering residential service to individual electric customers at Penelec, Penn Power, and Duquesne Light.
