Energetix Begins Offering Residential Service at PPL

Energetix has started offering residential electric service at PPL Electric Utilities.

On PA Power Switch, Energetix is offering a 12-month fixed rate of 8.875¢/kWh.  

A 50% clean energy rate is available for 9.025¢, and a 100% clean energy rate is available for 9.175¢, each fixed for 12 months.  The clean energy is from wind and low impact hydro, though a disclosure label with precise breakdowns could not be found on Energetix's website prior to entering customer-specific information.  Energetix's New York green products typically include 40% wind energy and 60% low impact hydro.

Energetix is also offering PPL customers, through Energetix's website, a market rate and a blended product priced at 50% fixed and 50% market.  Current rates for these product types were not listed.  Customers can add 50% clean energy or 100% clean energy to either the market or blended product for an adder of 0.15¢/kWh or 0.3¢/kWh, respectively.

All Energetix residential products at PPL, including the market rates, carry 12 month terms, and include a $35 early termination fee.
