Champion Energy, MXenergy Join RESA
Champion Energy Services, LLC and MXenergy have joined the Retail Energy Supply Association, according RESA's FERC filing in ER11-2427 which lists both as members. No formal announcement of the new members has yet been issued.

Md. PSC Launches New Electric Choice Site
The Maryland PSC has launched a new electric choice website at http://webapp.psc.state.md.us/ecm/home.cfm. Linked directly from the Commission's homepage, the site thus far contains information previously available on the PSC site (such as licensed and active supplier lists), but with the information now conveniently centralized for customers. No supplier pricing is yet available through the site.

Chris Smith Named First Choice Power Director of Indirect Sales
First Choice Power has named Chris Smith as director of indirect sales. Smith was most recently Director of Sales, Texas, at Hudson Energy, and had prior stints at Direct Energy and Reliant.

Sempra Energy Trading Assigns UI Load Contract to J.P. Morgan
United Illuminating reported that a certain Master Wholesale Power Supply Agreement, dated February 19, 2008, as amended April 24, 2009, along with a certain Transaction Confirmation dated February 3, 2009, under which Sempra Energy Trading LLC provided full requirements service to UI Standard Service customers, have been assigned to J.P. Morgan Ventures Energy Corporation, effective January 1, 2011.

TXU Energy Opening Two New Texas Call Centers
TXU Energy said that it is opening customer call centers in Abilene and Lubbock, which TXU said is another critical step forward in improving TXU Energy's customer service. Combined with added jobs at its existing call center in Irving, the new call centers create approximately 500 jobs.
