Pa. PUC Approves West Penn Power POR, Supplier Tariff
The Pennsylvania PUC approved West Penn Power's (Allegheny) updated supplier coordination tariff, which includes a new POR program.  Specific details of the POR program and other revisions under the approved supplier tariff may be found in our January 11 story.  The POR program includes a discount rate of 0.16% applicable to all customer classes.

Maine Public Service Discloses Standard Offer Suppliers
Maine Public Service disclosed that New Brunswick Power Generation Corporation was the winning bidder in its recent RFP to serve its residential and small non-residential, and medium non-residential Standard Offer customer classes for a three-year period beginning March 1, 2011.  Algonquin Energy Services will serve as the Standard Offer provider for the large nonresidential class in the MPS service territory for a three-year period beginning March 1, 2011.

Just Energy to Provide RECs for Superbowl
Just Energy has committed to offset all direct and indirect carbon emissions associated with power generation at Super Bowl XLV and other related venues.  Under an agreement between the National Football League and Just Energy, Just Energy will purchase RECs on behalf of Super Bowl XLV for the various event facilities.

DPUC Approves CL&P LRS Procurement
The Connecticut DPUC approved Connecticut Light & Power's procurement of Last Resort Service supplies for the three-month period beginning April 1, 2011.  Retail pricing is to be filed by February 15.
