TriEagle Energy Confirms "Aggressive" Plans for PJM Retail Markets

Email This Story
February 1, 2011

TriEagle Energy has "aggressive plans to expand to other markets in the PJM territory," the retail supplier disclosed in announcing its membership in the Retail Energy Supply Association.

TriEagle's expansion outside of Texas was first reported by Matters with its application (6/9) and receipt (8/19) of a Pennsylvania electric license.  As only noted by Matters, TriEagle said at that time it was planning to expand into other markets, products, and customer segments in Texas and around the U.S., supported by a minority ownership investment from Black Forest Ventures.

Aside from Pennsylvania, no other supplier license application from TriEagle has yet been filed publicly.

Originally focused on the commercial market, TriEagle has since expanded to residential service, and began offering market-wide residential offers at PECO, PPL, and Duquesne Light earlier this month (see 1/18).

TriEagle brings RESA's total membership to 18 suppliers.
