Ambit Energy Offering Residential Service at PECO
Ambit Energy has started offering residential electric service at PECO through PA Power Switch, with a variable rate currently priced at 8.4¢/kWh.  Ambit is also offering a 12-month fixed product, as well as fixed and variable renewable products, though these are not offered on PA Power Switch.  Ambit's standard 12-month fixed plan is priced at 8.7¢/kWh, and a 12-month fixed, 100% wind plan is priced at 8.9¢/kWh.  Both fixed plans include a $120 early termination fee.  A 100% wind variable plan is priced at 8.6¢/kWh.  Both renewable plans are always 2 mills/kWh above the current standard rate, whether fixed or variable.

UGI Utilities Posts Updated Generation Rates
UGI Utilities has posted updated electric default service generation charges for the period beginning March 1, 2011.  The GSR-1 rate is 9.330¢/kWh, and the GSR-2 rate is 5.416¢/kWh.

ICC Sets Index Price to be Used in Supplier Security
The Illinois Commerce Commission has adopted an updated index of $50.37 per MWh for the purpose of setting the dollar amounts of any unconditional guarantee, payment bond, or letter of credit used by electric suppliers to meet the licensing security requirements (Docket 11-0092)

PUCO Opens Review of Smart Grid Data Access Issues
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has opened a proceeding (Case No, 11-277-GE-UNC) on smart grid related privacy and data access issues.
