Nordic Energy Services Enters Partnership with Blue Planet Energy
Nordic Energy Services,
LLC, has entered into a partnership with broker Blue Planet Energy under which Nordic
will serve as Blue Planet's primary supplier of electricity. Blue Planet Energy
runs an affinity program which donates 15% of Blue Planet revenues to a customer's

IPPNY Opposes ConEd Affiliates' Solar Request
The Independent Power Producers of New
York filed comments opposing the request for a declaratory ruling from several Consolidated
Edison, Inc. affiliates, in which the ConEd, Inc. companies asked that the development
of 200 MW of solar projects by competitive affiliates Consolidated Edison Solutions
and Consolidated Edison Development, connected to their affiliated distribution company
systems, would not be reviewed under the New York PSC's Vertical Market Power Policy
Statement (see 10/13). "If Petitioners' affiliates are permitted to acquire or construct
generation facilities interconnected to Petitioners' T&D systems, there are myriad
ways in which competition could be impaired,' IPPNY argued, citing interconnection
as well as the potential for utilities to favor affiliates in addressing issues related
