Interstate Gas Supply Seeking Maryland Electric License
According to the Maryland PSC's list of official filings, Interstate Gas Supply, Inc. applied on February 17 for a license to supply electricity or electric generation services in Maryland.  A copy of the application was not immediately available.

CRA International Reports Winning FirstEnergy Ohio SSO Bidders
CRA International filed an unredacted report on the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities' procurement of Standard Service Offer supplies in late January (see discussion and winning prices in our 1/28 story).  Winning bidders were:

World Energy Solutions Reports Q4 Profit
World Energy Solutions, Inc. reported net income of $382,000 for the fourth quarter of 2010, reversing a year-ago loss of $236,000.  Revenue for the three months ended December 31, 2010 rose 40% versus the year-ago quarter to $4.9 million due to increased auction activity in its retail energy product line.  For the year 2010, World Energy Solutions narrowed its loss to $99,000, versus a loss of $2.3 million a year ago.
