Pepco Further Revises D.C. SOS Rates for Period Starting June 1, 2011

February 24, 2011

Pepco has filed further revisions to its SOS rates for District of Columbia customers for the period beginning June 1, 2011 (FC 1017).

Pepco had originally filed the SOS rates on January 28, and then filed a revised tariff for certain classes on February 14.

The most recent update results in higher rates than previously filed for the following rate classes: General Service Low Voltage (GSLV), General Service Primary Service (GS3A), Time Metered General Service - Low Voltage Service (GT LV), Time Metered General Service - Primary Service (GT 3A), Time Metered General Service - High Voltage Service (GT 3B), and Rapid Transit Service (RT).

The modified rates for these classes may be found here.

The modified rates are still lower than current SOS prices.

Other rate classes are not affected.

Pepco said the recent modifications are due to further updates and corrections related to the inclusion of higher cash working capital costs in the SOS rates, due to weekly billing in PJM.

The as-filed rates reflect Pepco's request to increase the SOS Administrative Charge for residential customers from $0.005 per kWh to $0.006 per kWh, and for and large commercial customers from $0.0065 per kWh to $0.00725 per kWh.
