PECO Reports Residential Electric Migration of 15%

PECO reported yesterday that over 250,000 customers have migrated to competitive electric suppliers.

The total includes 205,000 residential customers, 58,000 small commercial customers, and 2,400 large commercial customers.

That represents 15% of residential accounts, 36% of small commercial accounts, and 78% of large commercial accounts.

PECO said that 47 competitive suppliers are currently serving PECO load, with 36 serving residential customers. Only about 25 suppliers offer residential service on PA Power Switch, and the balance apparently reflects mixed meter service, and perhaps one or two suppliers electing to not offer service through PA Power Switch.
