Positive Energy Begins Maryland Marketing

Positive Energy Electricity Supply has begun actively marketing to Maryland residential and commercial customers at Baltimore Gas & Electric, it said yesterday. Positive Energy's receipt of a Maryland broker license was first reported by Matters (3/3). As in its other markets, Positive Energy will exclusively broker for ResCom Energy LLC. Positive Energy has more than 75,000 customers in Connecticut. Positive Energy also said that it has pending electric broker applications in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Summit Energy Services to be Acquired by Schneider Electric

Louisville-based broker and energy consultant Summit Energy Services Inc. has signed an agreement to be acquired by Schneider Electric, a French-based energy management specialist for $268 million, subject to certain adjustments. Summit Energy forecast sales of $65 million for the current year, and manages more than $20 billion in annualized energy spend for more than 650 clients and thousands of facilities.

Energy Plus Holdings, LLC Names Hugh Scott as CIO

Energy Plus Holdings, LLC has named Hugh Scott as Chief Information Officer. Scott previously served as Chief Process Officer and Vice President for Direct Energy's residential business. Scott will manage Energy Plus' CIS system, direct marketing analytics platform, and proprietary partner launch and integration process.
