Texas Retail Energy Seeks Maryland Supplier License

Texas Retail Energy, LLC has applied for a Maryland electric supplier license. A copy of the application was not immediately available. Texas Retail Energy is Wal-Mart's self-supplier, and in other states where Texas Retail Energy has recently applied for a license (Illinois, Pennsylvania), the application has been limited to self-supply.

The Galt Company Receives N.J. Broker License

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has granted The Galt Company an electric broker license to serve commercial and industrial clients in all territories. In announcing the start of its New Jersey service, The Galt Company said that some estimates put migration rates in New Jersey as high as 40% in 2011.

The Delaware PSC granted TES Energy Services, LP an electric broker license to serve retail, commercial, and industrial customers.
