Scope of Green Mountain Illinois Application Revealed, Supplier Receives N.J. License

As expected, Green Mountain Energy Company's application for an Illinois electric supplier license (4/6) is limited to seeking authority to serve non-residential customers with annual usage in excess of 15,000 kWh. Additionally, Green Mountain is only seeking authority to serve such customers at Commonwealth Edison. Green Mountain also reported that it received a New Jersey electric supplier license to serve commercial and industrial customers on March 30. Green Mountain also has a pending Pennsylvania electric supplier application limited to non-residential customers in excess of 25 kW (3/7).

Consumer Energy Solutions Seeks Illinois, Ohio Broker Licenses

Consumer Energy Solutions, Inc. has applied for an Illinois electric agent, broker, and consultant license, and has also applied for an Ohio electric broker license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. Consumer Energy Solutions said that it has enrolled over 2 million residential and 200,000 commercial customers across the United States and Canada.
