PUCT Revokes Several REP Certificates

The PUCT has revoked the REP certificates of the following companies, for various failures to meet the requirements of Subst. R. 25.107 (see linked story for specifics):
- Telecom Consulting & Services, LLC (9/17)
- Lehman Power Services, LLC (9/17)
- Good Guys Power, LP
- Rio Grande Power, LLC (9/27)
None of the revocation proceedings were contested.


WGES Offering Customers Free Upgrade to Fully Renewable Power

Washington Gas Energy Services, through April 30, will upgrade certain new customers to fully renewable products. New residential and small commercial electricity customers signing up for 50% wind power for 12 months will at no additional charge receive 100% wind power, in all of WGES' markets. New residential and small commercial customers purchasing WGES' natural gas 100% carbon offset product for 12 months will receive the first month of supply free. Additionally, for new electric customers, WGES is increasing, at not added charge, its standard amount of renewable power included, to 10% for residential customers, and 7% for small commercial customers.


N.H. PUC Order Finds No Jurisdiction Over Nstar-NU Merger

A New Hampshire PUC order has found that the Commission lack jurisdiction to review the merger of Northeast Utilities and Nstar (DE 11-014).
