Ambit Launches Residential Service at PPL

Ambit Energy has begun offering residential electric service at PPL.

Ambit also officially announced its entry into the PECO residential electric market, which was first reported by Matters in February (2/3).

At PPL, Ambit is offering a 12-month product priced at 7.9 cents/kWh for the first two months, and 8.9 cents/kWh thereafter. A 12-month, 100% wind plan is offered at 8.1 cents/kWh for the first two months, and 9.1 cents/kWh thereafter.

Both fixed products include an early termination fee of $120.

Ambit is also offering a monthly variable rate of 8.8 cents per kWh, and a 100% wind monthly variable rate of 9.0 cents/kWh.

Pricing at PECO remains unchanged from our earlier story.

Ambit offers customers referring customers to Ambit travel rewards and, for 15 referrals, bill credits equal to up to one month of free energy.
