Illinois Posts November Migration Data for ComEd, Ameren

April 19, 2011

The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted updated electric migration statistics for the month of November 2010.

Stats may be accessed at the following links:

ComEd

Ameren Rate Zone I (AmerenCIPS)

Ameren Rate Zone II (AmerenCILCO)

Ameren Rate Zone III (AmerenIP)

Matters does not believe extensive analysis of five month old statistics is particularly insightful to current market conditions, but would note that, as of November, only 63.8% of ComEd 100 kW to 400 kW accounts were taking competitive supply, only marginally higher than the 60.7% of 100 kW to 400 kW accounts taking competitive supply in May 2010, just before the transition to hourly pricing for existing customers in this class was completed (and versus 63.16% in October 2010).
