Weekly PECO Residential Migration Again Rises Above 5,000

A net of 5,100 new residential customers migrated to a competitive electric supplier at PECO from May 4 to May 10, according to the most recent statistics from the Pennsylvania PUC.

Matters has also compiled a comparison of the migration levels from the 5/11/11 Report versus the 5/4/11 Report, as well as comparing the rate of migration in each of the past two weeks. The 5/11/11 Report did not list any updated data for the FirstEnergy utilities.

At PECO, new residential migration during the most recent week (May 4 to May 10) was 5,130 on a net basis, up from 3,428 in the immediately prior week.

In the most recent week, PPL saw 1,089 new residential shoppers, versus about 2,000 new shoppers in the immediately prior week.

In the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw 2,932 new residential shoppers, versus 1,359 new shoppers in the immediately prior week.
