Illinois Posts Energy, Capacity Prices from Ameren Default Service RFP

The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted results from the May RFP for both energy and capacity for default service customers at Ameren.

Energy supplies were for portions of the 2011-12, 2012-2013, and 2013-14 delivery years.

On-peak prices for the prompt 2011-12 delivery year, which are the only supplies which will be immediately rolled into the default service price, range from $34.94/MWh to $44.56/MWh. The pricing is for 50 MW energy blocks and not full requirements service.

Winning bidders for energy products were Ameren Energy Marketing Company; American Electric Power Service Corporation; Cargill Power Markets, LLC; Constellation Energy Commodities Group, Inc.; DTE Energy Trading, Inc.; Dynegy Power Marketing, Inc.; Exelon Generation Company; J.P. Morgan Ventures Energy Corporation; Macquarie Energy LLC; and Ameren Missouri.

Winning capacity prices by month, which cover only the period June 2011 through May 2012, are available here.

Winning capacity prices ranged from $2.77/MW-Month to $77.01/MW-Month.

Winning capacity suppliers were Ameren Energy Marketing Company; Consumers Energy Company; DTE Energy Trading, Inc.; Duke Energy Ohio, Inc.; Dynegy Power Marketing, Inc.; GenOn Energy Management, LLC; Ameren Missouri; Wisconsin Electric Power Company; and Wisconsin Public Service Corporation.
