Illinois Posts ComEd Default Service RFP Results

The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted results from the recent procurement of default service energy products at Commonwealth Edison.

The energy blocks were procured for a portion of the 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2013-14 delivery years. Products were for 50 MW energy blocks and were not load following.

Winning average on-peak prices for the prompt 2011-12 delivery year, which will be blended with the remaining two-thirds of energy previously procured to create the default service portfolio, ranged from $37.34/MWh to $52.24/MWh.

Winning bidders included: American Electric Power Service Corporation; Cargill Power Markets LLC; Constellation Energy Commodities Group, Inc.; Exelon Generation Company, LLC; Macquarie Energy LLC; MidAmerican Energy Company; Morgan Stanley Capital Group Inc.; NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC; and Wells Fargo Commodities, LLC.
