Spark Energy Enters PSE&G Residential Market

Spark Energy has begun offering residential electric service at Public Service Electric & Gas.

Spark is offering a 12-month fixed rate of 10.49 cents per kilowatt-hour. Spark said that for a customer using 850 kWh of electricity a month, its rate represents a 10 percent savings off of PSE&G's rates expected to become effective June 1, 2011.

The residential product includes an early termination fee of $100.

Spark also offers residential gas at PSE&G, with a monthly variable product currently priced at 64.8 cents per therm.

Spark offers commercial electric and gas service at PSE&G as well.

PSE&G is the only residential market in New Jersey where Spark currently has an active offer.
