Weekly Residential Migration at PECO Again Tops 4,000

A net of nearly 4,300 new residential customers migrated to competitive supply at PECO from May 11 to May 17, according to the most recent stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

Matters has also compiled a comparison of the migration levels from the 5/18/11 Report versus the 5/11/11 Report, as well as comparing the rate of migration in each of the past two weeks. The 5/11/11 Report did not list any updated data for the FirstEnergy utilities, while the 5/18/11 Report did not list any updated data for Duquesne Light and Pike County

At PECO, new residential migration during the most recent week (May 11 to May 17) was 4,280 on a net basis, versus 5,100 in the immediately prior week.

In the most recent week, PPL saw over 1,200 new residential shoppers, versus about 1,100 new shoppers in the immediately prior week.

Penelec (2,477) and West Penn Power (2,203) both saw a net of over 2,000 new residential shoppers from May 4 through May 18.
