Microsoft Seeks Illinois Electric License

Microsoft Corporation has applied for an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license. Microsoft's application is limited to serving its own load, specifically, a 60 MW data center in Northlake, which is in the ComEd territory.


MC Squared Energy Services Seeks Ohio License

MC Squared Energy Services, LLC applied for an Ohio electric supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas. MC Squared, now a subsidiary of DPL Energy Resources, currently serves 2,000 non-residential accounts consisting of 120 MW at ComEd in Illinois. As only noted in Matters, MC Squared is also seeking to expand its Illinois license to include small volume customers (4/20).


TES Energy Services Receives Ohio Electric Broker License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted TES Energy Services LP an electric aggregator/broker license to serve all customer classes in all service areas (4/21).


APN Starfirst Receives Ohio License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted APN Starfirst, L.P. an electric supplier license. APN Starfirst, an affiliate of American PowerNet Management, will serve the Ohio facilities of PPG Industries (4/21).
