Pa. PUC Grants Extension for PGW Alternative Default Service Proposal

The Pennsylvania PUC granted natural gas suppliers an additional 60 days to notify the Commission of their intent to participate in formal proceedings before the PUC regarding alternative default service mechanisms at Philadelphia Gas Works (4/14). A Secretarial Letter issued yesterday has extended the supplier's deadline until July 12. Suppliers had asked for the extension to allow for continued discussions with Philadelphia Gas Works to narrow contested issues.


TXU Launches Mobile Website

TXU Energy has launched a mobile version of its website designed for use via web-enabled wireless devices (m.txu.com). TXU said that is the first REP in ERCOT, "to offer its customers optimized mobile access to their accounts to view and pay bills while they're 'on-the-go.'" Michael Grasso, TXU chief marketing officer, said that the mobile site, "gives our customers additional convenience and control over their electricity usage and access to their accounts [and is] a direct response to the real world ways they access txu.com." Over the past year, TXU has seen mobile traffic to its website grow by nearly 200 percent.
