May 30, 2011
Email This Story

PPL EnergyPlus has entered the New Jersey and Delaware retail electric markets to serve commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.

PPL EnergyPlus is now offering non-residential electric supply at Atlantic City Electric, Jersey Central Power & Light, and Public Service Electric & Gas in New Jersey, and at Delmarva in Delaware. Target customers will be those with demands of at least 25 kW.

Currently, PPL EnergyPlus supplies natural gas to non-residential customers in both New Jersey and Delaware, and will look to sell electricity to these existing customers.

PPL EnergyPlus will offer electric supply, RECs, demand-management options, and energy-efficiency services as part of the New Jersey and Delaware market entry.

Expanding residential electric service beyond PECO and PPL remain a goal for the company, though no immediate residential expansion is imminent.
