PPL Residential Migration Jumps to 3,500

A net of 4,400 new residential customers migrated to competitive supply at PECO from May 18 to May 24, according to the most recent stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

Matters has also compiled a comparison of the migration levels from the 5/25/11 Report versus the 5/18/11 Report, as well as comparing the rate of migration in each of the past two weeks.

At PECO, new residential migration during the most recent week (May 18 to May 24) was 4,407 on a net basis, versus 4,280 in the immediately prior week.

In the most recent week, PPL saw 3,553 new residential shoppers, up sharply from the 1,200 new shoppers reported in each of the prior two weeks.

Duquesne Light has seen almost 4,000 new residential shoppers since May 11. West Penn Power saw nearly 1,500 new residential shoppers during the most recent week.
