PUCT Staff have filed a draft Prepaid Disclosure Statement in Project No. 39357.

Per amended Subst. R. 25.498, REPs must use the adopted Prepaid Disclosure Statement when offering prepaid products.

The three-page draft statement requires REPs to list the connection balance to establish prepaid service, any non-recurring fees assessed at connection by the REP, and any TDU fees passed on by the REP, including Move-In and/or Switch fees.

REPs must also disclose the disconnection balance below which REPs may submit a Disconnect for Non-Pay, and separately list any disconnection fee.

REPs must separately list any other non-recurring REP fees, including any applicable early termination fee.

The statement requires REPs to list acceptable forms of payment, including the fees associated with each (if any).
