Stream Energy Elected to NEM Executive Committee

Stream Energy has been elected to the National Energy Marketers Association Executive Committee. Stream Energy will be represented by Pierre Koshakji, Senior Managing Director, and Darrin Pfannenstiel, Regulatory Counsel.

IDT Expects Spin Off of Competitive Supplier in Fall

IDT Corporation yesterday re-affirmed its previously reported plan (11/8)to spin-off of its Genie Energy business (which includes competitive retail supplier IDT Energy as well as Genie Oil and Gas). IDT expects the spin-off to go effective in the fall. IDT recently filed a private letter ruling request, seeking the IRS' concurrence that a spin-off of Genie Energy would be tax free to the company and its shareholders. IDT is awaiting the IRS ruling and will continue to monitor developments in the markets and the business units to ensure that a spin-off remains in the best interests of shareholders.

Spark Energy Signs Hotel Granduca

Spark Energy has signed a fixed price contract with Houston's Hotel Granduca. The contract was brokered by Advocate Energy Group.
