N.Y. PSC Posts March 2011 Natural Gas Migration Data

The New York PSC has posted natural gas migration statistics for the month of March 2011, as well as several prior months.

The most recently published gas migration report had previously been December 2010, as first reported in Matters earlier this month (6/16).

Residential migration, as a percent of accounts, was as follows for March 2011:
Central Hudson: 13.9%
Consolidated Edison: 15.6%
Corning: 18.7%
KeySpan Long Island: 9.3%
KeySpan New York: 16.9%
National Fuel Gas Distribution: 18.9%
NYSEG: 21.4%
Niagara Mohawk: 21.8%
Orange & Rockland: 42.5%
Rochester Gas & Electric: 21.3%
St. Lawrence Gas: 0.0%

The change in migrated residential accounts from December 2010 to March 2011 was as follows:
Central Hudson: (241)
Consolidated Edison: +1,715
Corning: (17)
KeySpan Long Island: +645
KeySpan New York: +873
National Fuel Gas Distribution: +1,038
NYSEG: +5,072
Niagara Mohawk: +1,698
Orange & Rockland: +735
Rochester Gas & Electric: +4,268
St. Lawrence Gas: 0
