Start-up AmericaWide Energy, LLC applied for a Connecticut electric supplier license to serve all customer classes.

AmericaWide Energy is led by President Gary Goncalves, who was most recently an Independent Energy Associate at Viridian Energy. Previously, Goncalves was Vice President, Global Finance & Technology Operations Manager at General Reinsurance Corporation.

AmericaWide Energy's website indicates that its standard offers will be a 15% green product, and a 100% green product.

AmericaWide Energy also indicates on its website that it will not include an early termination fee with any product, suggesting that it will only offer monthly variable rates, which is also the product contained in its standard terms of service filed with PURA.

AmericaWide has selected EC Infosystems to address all EDI and wholesale energy business service requirements.
