Texzon Utilities Pitching City Marketing/Affinity Program

July  27, 2011
Email This Story

Broker Texzon Utilities, LTD is marketing an energy affinity program to cities as a way to raise city revenues.

Under the brand City Energy Group, Texzon would select a supplier to serve customers who opt-in the cit energy program, which the city would publicize through various avenues in exchange for a portion of revenue and lower rates than the standard offers in the market.

Texzon is highlighting, in particular, its ability to leverage lower rates for city residents and businesses under an opt-in program as a broker working with multiple suppliers, as opposed creating such a program directly with a single supplier.

In exchange for a portion of revenue from each kilowatt-hour delivered under the program, the city would place a portal on its website allowing customers to select their preferred rate and term. Customers would then enroll with the provider chosen by Texzon to offer supply for the program.

Texzon currently operates in Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Texzon is also a developer of green energy storage technology, as well as green Landfill Gas Recovery (Biogas) and Combined Heat & Power projects in U.S. markets.
