BGE Gas Residential Migration Growth Nearly 10,000 Over Last Three Months

The Maryland PSC has posted natural gas migration statistics for the quarter ending June 2011.

A comparison of the number of accounts migrated, and percent of accounts migrated, versus the quarter ending March 2011 as compiled by Matters is available here.

From March 2011 to June 2011, Baltimore Gas & Electric saw residential natural gas migration growth of nearly 10,000 accounts.

The percent of residential gas accounts at BGE served by a competitive supplier increased from 13.7% in March to 15.3% by the end of June.

At Washington Gas Light, where POR was not in place until bills rendered on and after June 29, 2011, residential migration growth from March to June was 549 accounts.

The percent of residential gas accounts at WGL served by a competitive supplier inched to 17.9% as of June 2011, versus 17.6% in March.
