U.S. Gas & Electric said that it plans to enter nine new electric and natural gas markets over the next 12 months.

These new markets include:

Electricity
Connecticut
Pennsylvania
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Ohio

Natural Gas
Kentucky
Illinois
Maryland

As only reported by Matters, U.S. Gas & Electric has already completed the licensing process in many of these markets (see 1/6 and 5/6).

In others, such as Connecticut (6/21), its application is still pending.

The new markets disclosure came in boilerplate language describing U.S. Gas & Electric as part of the new American Coalition of Competitive Energy Suppliers (see related story)

The most recently entered market for U.S. Gas & Electric was Commonwealth Edison for electricity, as only reported by Matters (8/12).

Current markets for U.S. Gas & Electric include New York (gas, electric), New Jersey (gas, electric), Michigan (gas), Indiana (gas), Ohio (gas), Illinois (electric), and Pennsylvania (gas).

U.S. Gas & Electric uses state-based trade names in each market (e.g. Illinois Gas & Electric), and electric service is offered by subsidiary Energy Services Providers, Inc.
