Mark Jacobs Resigns from GenOn Energy

GenOn Energy, Inc. announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Edward R. Muller, will assume the additional title of President, and that Mark M. Jacobs, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, is leaving the company effective September 30, 2011. Jacobs is also stepping down from the board of directors.

Acclaim Energy Advisors Names Alberto Rios Director of Energy Risk Management

Acclaim Energy Advisors has named Alberto Rios Director of Energy Risk Management. Rios previously served in a similar risk management role with RBS Sempra Commodities. Rios will become a key member of the company's management team focused on enhancing its transaction structuring, pricing, and analytical and market intelligence capabilities. Rios will also be responsible for managing client energy risk exposure, providing advice and executing heat rate and natural gas hedges for electricity and natural gas transactions for clients across North America.
