FirstEnergy Solutions Capturing "Much" of Migrated Load at Met-Ed, Penelec

"Much" of the shopping at Met-Ed and Penelec has been "successfully captured" by FirstEnergy Solutions, FirstEnergy Corp. CEO Anthony Alexander told investors yesterday at a Barclays Capital conference.

Additionally, FirstEnergy Solutions has more than doubled its mass market customer base during 2011, from 60,000 primarily residential customers attracted through mass market (non-aggregation) programs in January 2011 to now approximately 160,000.

Alexander also reported that FirstEnergy Solutions has recorded a 50% year-over-year increase in municipal aggregation sales in Ohio, as it has expanded to aggregations at AEP Ohio and Duke Energy Ohio.

FirstEnergy Solutions also provided to investors a forecast of electric sales volumes, and $/MWh, by sales channel, on pages 56-59 of the linked presentation.
