Duke Energy Renewables Announces Texas Wind Project

Duke Energy Renewables announced this morning that it will build, own, and operate the 202-megawatt Los Vientos II Windpower Project in Willacy County, Texas, approximately 120 miles south of Corpus Christi and 20 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. The energy and RECs from the project will be sold to Austin Energy through a 25-year agreement.

Nstar to Lower Gas Supply Rate

Nstar said that it has submitted a new gas supply rate of about 70 cents per therm, down from last winter’s price of just under 81 cents.
