Illinois has posted electric migration statistics as of August 31, 2011.

The statistics show customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags executed enrollments.

At Commonwealth Edison, 81,062 residential customers had switched to a competitive supplier and completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of August 31, up from 52,000 as of July.

The ICC's Office of Retail Market Development had previously reported that, as of June 24, 2011, about 83,000 residential customers at Commonwealth Edison had switched to competitive supply when including all customers that have enrolled with a competitive supplier, regardless of having completed the first billing cycle

Residential customers at Ameren who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of August 31 were as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: 2,869

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: 1,337

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: 3,850

Generally, these totals are four to five times higher than the July totals.

Both the 0-100 kW and 100 kW-400 kW classes at ComEd continue to see only marginal migration growth month to month.
