PSNH Projects Lower Default Service Rate

Public Service of New Hampshire has submitted information to support its next default service rate change effective January 1, 2012.

Though PSNH is not proposing a specific rate at this time (it will do so with contemporary data prior to a hearing), PSNH forecast the projected default service rate as 8.39 cents per kWh.

The projection does not include the cost of a scrubber at Merrimack Station, as the exact in-service date is not known at this time.

The current default service rate is 8.89 cents per kWh.

PSNH's rate is based on a forecast migration level of 33.4%, which is the actual current migration level on PSNH's system as of August 31, 2011.
