Ameren Energy Marketing Seeks Authority to Serve Residential Customers

Ameren Energy Marketing Company has applied for an amended Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license to include service to residential customers and non-residential customers with annual usage below 15,000 kWh at Commonwealth Edison and Ameren Illinois. Ameren Energy Marketing is currently authorized to serve non-residential customers with annual usage in excess of 15,000 kWh.


North American Power Seeks Illinois License

North American Power and Gas, LLC applied for an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license to serve all customers classes at Commonwealth Edison. North American Power said that it currently plans to enter the Illinois market with a primary marketing focus using telemarketing. North American Power has not made a final determination of plans regarding the use of multi-level marketing in Illinois, but does not plan to use that approach initially. North American Power will not use door-to-door marketing in Illinois, consistent with its cessation of this channel in other markets. North American Power's intent to seek an Illinois license by year-end was first reported by Matters (3/15).


REP Energy, LLC Receives Transferred Horizon License in Connecticut

The Connecticut PURA granted the transfer of Horizon Power and Light, LLC's electric supplier license to REP Energy, LLC, which is organized by the same owners as Horizon and is assuming Horizon's licenses in states within ISO New England as previously reported (8/18). REP Energy is authorized to serve residential and commercial customers in Connecticut.


LPB Energy Management Receives Authority to Serve Residential Customers in Connecticut

The Connecticut PURA granted LPB Energy Management (MRDB Holdings LP) an expanded electric aggregator certificate to include service to residential customers in addition to commercial, industrial, municipal, and governmental customers.


Patriot Energy Group Seeks New Connecticut Aggregator License

Patriot Energy Group, Inc. has filed for a new Connecticut electric aggregator certificate to serve all non-residential customer classes. The need for a new certificate arises from a prior internal reorganization.


American Power Partners Announces Pa. License

American Power Partners LLC this morning formally announced its receipt of a Pennsylvania electric generation supplier license. The order granting the license was first reported in Matters (9/22).
