Residential Customers Billed Under Competitive Supply Surpasses at 100,000 at ComEd

Over 100,000 residential electric customers at ComEd have switched to a competitive supplier and completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of September 30, according to the latest statistics from the Illinois Commerce Commission.

As previously noted, the ICC statistics linked below show customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags completed enrollments.

As of the end of September, 104,984 residential customers at ComEd had completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. This is an increase of nearly 24,000 versus the total as of the end of August (81,062).

Residential customers at Ameren who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of the end of September were as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: 4,885

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: 2,039

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: 7,254

This represents net growth versus the August totals as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: +2,016

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: +702

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: +3,404

Both the 0-100 kW and 100 kW-400 kW classes at ComEd continue to see only marginal migration growth month to month.
