Xoom Energy Seeks Illinois License

Xoom Energy Illinois, LLC applied for an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license to serve all customer classes at Ameren Illinois, Commonwealth Edison, MidAmerican Energy Company, and Mt. Carmel Public Utility Company. Xoom Energy's application indicates that it will also be seeking an alternative gas supplier license to serve customers at North Shore Gas, Peoples Gas, and Nicor Gas. The application also confirms that Robert Blake has joined Xoom Energy as COO. Blake was formerly Vice President, Electricity Operations & Regulatory Affairs, at MXenergy and most recently Senior Vice President for Regulatory Affairs at MXenergy.


Interstate Gas Supply Receives Electric License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Interstate Gas Supply an electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. The application was first reported by Matters (9/30).


Integrys Energy Services Seeks D.C. Gas License

Integrys Energy Services - Natural Gas, LLC applied for a District of Columbia natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes.


GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions Seeks D.C. License

GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions, LLC d/b/a Think Energy applied for a District of Columbia electric supplier license to serve commercial and industrial customers. GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions is a new subsidiary of GDF Suez Energy Resources NA formed to serve small volume electric customers (see 7/27).
