Residential customers at Commonwealth Edison who have switched to a competitive supplier and completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply increased by over 50,000 during the month of October, according to the latest statistics from the Illinois Commerce Commission.

As previously noted, the ICC statistics linked below show customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags completed enrollments.

As of the end of October, 158,511 residential customers at ComEd had completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply, compared with 104,984 customers as of September 30, 2011.

The net growth of nearly 54,000 ComEd residential customers billed on competitive supply is more than double the growth of 24,000 seen during September.

Residential customers at Ameren who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of the end of October were as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: 6,557

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: 2,780
