Residential customers at Commonwealth Edison who have switched to a competitive supplier and completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply increased by about 37,000 during the month of November, according to the latest statistics from the Illinois Commerce Commission.
As previously noted, the ICC statistics linked below show customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags completed enrollments.
As of the end of November, 195,375 residential customers at ComEd had completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply, compared with 158,511 as of the end of October.
The net growth of nearly 37,000 ComEd residential customers billed on competitive supply during November is down from the net growth of 54,000 residential customers seen in October.
Residential customers at Ameren who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of the end of November were as follows:
Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: 8,554
Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: 4,330
Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: 15,269

The November growth is higher than the October growth in all three rate zones, and significantly higher in Rate Zones II and III. For comparison, the residential migration growth in each Ameren territory during October had been:

During November, the 0-100 kW commercial class at ComEd saw an increase of 3,000 accounts billed on competitive supply versus the October total. This monthly growth is down from the growth of 4,000 accounts for the class in October, but still above the growth rate of 1,000-2,000 accounts seen in this class for much of 2011.
The 100 kW-400 kW class at ComEd continues to see only marginal migration growth month to month.
