Liberty Power Reports Commercial Customer Count

Liberty Power is serving more than 100,000 commercial accounts across 13 states, the company disclosed today in announcing the results of a sweepstakes it held to celebrate its 10 years in business. Under the sweepstakes, 10 customers were randomly selected to win $10,000 each. The customer winners included a fire house in Pennsylvania, an Italian restaurant in New Jersey, a childhood learning center in Delaware, a chicken farmer in Maryland, and a homeowner in Texas, among others. Sales channels responsible for enrolling these customers and the signing agents also received awards.

South Texas Electric Cooperative to Pay $15,000 Under Settlement with PUCT Staff

South Texas Electric Cooperative (STEC) would pay an administrative penalty of $15,000 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve allegations that STEC, on February 26, 2008, maintained an insufficient ancillary service capacity ranging from 10 MW to 14 MW for the period of three intervals during one clock hour, in alleged violation of ERCOT Protocol § 6.3.2(2), and in turn, PURA § 39.15l(j) and P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.503(f)(2).
